About Tim

Tim, has well proven skills and abilities when it comes to commercial and residential construction project management including involvement and engagement in all steps from initial concept to final sign off.

Tim has impressive interpersonal and communication skills, which he sees as crucial to successful project management. These are complemented by his wider building industry knowledge, leadership skills and operational competencies.

His wide-ranging industry background makes Tim a natural fit with Morden and the company philosophy of ‘Consultancy smarts with hands on construction experience’.

Experience

Over 35 years in the construction industry has seen Tim go from an apprentice carpenter to senior management roles. This has given him a comprehensive understanding of building sites and projects, right through from the people-on-the-tools to the big-picture aspects of contracts that help them come in on time and on budget.

Extensive experience as a site and project manager has seen Tim working with some of the major players in the sector, including Armstrong Downes Commercial, Hawkins Construction, Fletcher Construction, Mainzeal and Leighs Construction in Christchurch. In that time, he managed everything from minor refits and renovations to complex, large scale construction projects with total price tags of over $100m.

When he’s not in the office or onsite, Tim is into personal fitness, surfing and mountain biking, and spending time with his family.
