About Anton

Anton joined Morden in June 2022 as Senior Planner and brought with him a wealth of skills and experience within the construction project management sector. With a career of over 30 years in the construction industry in South Africa and New Zealand, Anton makes a great addition to Morden alongside Dave and Phil.

Anton is a highly self-motivated and resourceful member of the Morden Team.

Experience

Before emigrating to New Zealand in 2015, Anton was an experienced South African Construction Manager with a fastidious aptitude for construction contract planning and time management. Anton’s natural focus on precision and details, coupled with a logical and systematic approach, quickly saw Anton move through the leadership ranks and onto large construction management projects. One of the impressive projects that Anton worked on was the Nelson Mandela Bay Multi-Purpose Stadium, for the 2010 FIFA World Cup Football Tournament.

Since moving to New Zealand, Anton has held various Senior Planning roles with large contractors such as Fletcher Construction Company and Decmil. His roles saw him work on numerous prestigious contracts such as the Rapid Deployment Prison Project - a combined 960-bed module expansion to Corrections facilities at Rolleston, Tongariro, Christchurch, and Rimutaka. Further duties included preparing several tender programs, assisting with cash flow graphs, subcontractor procurement schedules, and claims for extensions of time.

Technical ability and expertise

Throughout Anton's career, he has been highly focused on preparing all ROI, RFT, ECI, and tender, programs, and methodologies. He uses a range of tools available to him such as Navisworks Simulate 3D models, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Anton's ability does not stop with the procurements of a project. He remains with the Client and Project providing in-depth knowledge and advice to the Client and Team until completion.
